TUMBLEWEED BOTANICALS CREW
Who We Are
SUE GORE BERRYMAN
Practicing Herbalist, RYT 200, Founder
I am the daughter of a physician and grew up constantly hearing discussions of healing the human body and spirit. I was fascinated with conventional medicine but felt drawn to a more holistic approach. My journey into natural healing began in 2001 when I began the study of massage at the Lauterstein-Conway Massage School in Austin, Texas.
Being a massage therapist opened the door into the health and medical field, which sparked my interest in herbal Medicine. In 2011, I graduated from The Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine in Austin, TX. I worked as an apprentice with Nicole Telkes the director of the school while attending the program. I created Tumbleweed Botanicals, an herbal product line of salves, teas, tinctures, lotions and other potions. My products are handcrafted made with organic and natural ingredients. I am continuing on my herbal path and attend herbal conferences, workshops and take additional courses to further my education. I am an ethical wildcrafter and enjoy sharing my knowledge of the plants with my community.
In 2015, I completed over 200-hours of intensive training at the Yoga Shala Lubbock- Yoga School, with a curriculum including technique, teaching methodology and practicum for asana, pranayama and meditation, anatomy and physiology, yogic philosophy, and personal ethics. My training meets the requirements of the National Yoga Alliance designation as a Registered Yoga Teacher. I like my classes to be all levels, meaning anyone no matter where you are physically can join in.
Tumbleweed Botanicals is inside the Cactus Alley Courtyard, located at 2610 Salem Ave. Inside Tumbleweed Botanicals you will find: organic bulk herbs and tea blends, my entire organic product line, essential oils, diffusers, pendulums, tumbled stones, crystals, smudging sticks and much more.
Another offering will be certified herbal classes through The Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine from Austin, TX. Nicole Telkes, the director of the school and I have been working for 2 years on a program that will allow her to teach long distance. We are offering a class part online and the other in person herbal program. Additional workshops will also be available through out the year for those who cannot attend the program.
In my down time I am usually surrounded by my dogs and cats, reading, creating new formulas, singing really loud making up songs, practicing yoga, and crafting various projects. I cherish my family and friends and enjoy spending quality time with them. I also enjoy kayaking, bumming around outside on nice days and going on adventures.
Swing on by Tumbleweed Botanicals sometime and say hi!
In good health,
